PRAYER For Seeking God

God, almighty Father.

Lord I come to You in prayer because I need You to renew my heart.

I need You to renew my heart so that I may have the understanding of how to truly seek You with all of my heart. 

To be able to seek You with pure intention and will. 

To be able to deeply desire having a personally intimate relationship with You.

To be able to seek You so earnestly in prayer that it overrides the time I spend praying to You for worldly gains; that do not serve Your purpose, Your kingdom or Your will. 

Place in me a will to know You more than my own will which currently fills my heart.

Renew my heart Lord so that I may have the understanding to search for You with my whole entire heart, the way that I search for worldly wealth, status, popularity and worldly gains. 

Forgive me Lord for my human ways, for my temporary lusts and for my worldly desires. 

I want to know You so deeply and personally that as it’s written in Your Word:
“I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing You as my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish that I may gain Christ.” - Philippians 3v7

I want to love You, treasure You and pursue You more than anything and everything You have created.
Lord I want You to be my first love, now and forever more.

I know deeply that You love Your children this way, that You love us more than anything else You have created, I want to be able to love You this way, Lord. 

In Your Word it is written:
 “I will give them a heart to know me.” - Jeremiah 24v7.

Lord please touch my heart. I need You to touch my heart so that my heart may be renewed in order for me to understand Your kind of love.

I know I need a renewed heart that only You can give me; a heart that understands how to truly seek You. 

I want to seek Your will ahead of my own will and commit to it.
With all of my will, all of my might and all of my understanding I desperately want to know You personally but Lord it is not possible to truly seek You deeply and earnestly with pure intention without the renewed heart that only You can give me. 

Lord, please touch my heart for I need to search and seek for You in a supernatural way. 

Lord through Your Holy Spirit please strengthen and guide me in Christ to seek for You with all of my heart so that You may reveal Yourself to me as You promise.

As it is written in Your Word Lord:
“The Lord is with you while you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you.” - 2 Chronicles 15v2.

I want to search for You with a loyal heart and a willing mind. I do not want to search for You with impure intentions and with thoughts of what I may be able to gain in this world through Your favor. I want to love You and know You above all things, so that I am always thankful for You, so that I am always humble before You and by Your power, Your grace, Your holiness, Your goodness and Your Love, so that whether I receive worldly gains or not I have the gift of peace that only You can give, a peace that the world can not give, so that I may never want to love anything above You but to be completely and wholesomely fulfilled, content, joyous and pleased in the privilege of knowing You and having You as God my Father;
for there is nothing else in this world or worlds to come that I need other than knowing You personally. 

You made it possible for me to have a direct relationship with You through Jesus Christ who bore the cross for me so that I may know You. 

You gave me a gift that I will never be able to repay You for because You love me so deeply and unconditionally. 

Thank You for sending Your only begotten Son to die for me so that I may be saved, so that I may have a relationship with You, so that I may know You. 

Lord humble me, purify my heart and touch my heart so that I may understand how to search for Your will over my own will. 

Lord please allow me to draw near to You so that You may draw near to me as it is written in Your Word. 

Lord I want to put Your perfect will above my own. I want You to reveal Yourself to me. I want You to reveal Your purpose for me, I want to know what You’ve called me to do for You, for Your people and for Your kingdom. 

I want to prioritize You and Your will above myself and my own will, eternally. 

Please help me to do this willingly, loyally, continually and with whole hearted devotion. As it is written in Your Word:
“For it is God who works in you to will and act according to His good purpose.” - Philippians 2v13 

By Your promise in Proverbs 2v1 I know that so be it Your will for me You will reveal yourself to me as I seek for You , I know You will favor me and answer my prayer to seek You and find You as You promise. 

I finish my prayer to You with Your written Word; 

"My son, if you accept my words

and store up your commands within you, 

turning your ear to wisdom

and applying your heart to understanding-

indeed, if you call out for insight

and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as silver and search for it as hidden treasure, 

then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God. 

for the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding."

Bring Your words to life in my life, Lord.
God almighty thank You for You.
God almighty thank You for loving me more than You love anything else You have created.
God almighty thank You for loving me so much that You gave Your only begotten son Jesus Christ to save me.
God almighty thank You for Your Word and Your guidance in how to have a relationship with You.
God almighty thank You for Your Holy Spirit. 

So be it Your will, I pray this to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your son and my savior. Amen.
